Woolsey to honor Petaluma Little Leaguers in Congress

By CHRIS SMITH THE PRESS DEMOCRAT For once, Rep. Lynn Woolsey will face no opposition when she stands in the House Chamber next Monday to recite something she deems historic. It’s the roster of the Petaluma National all-star team that shone in the Little League World Series. Woolsey pledges to read each player’s name into the Congressional Record.

Sunday’s parade ‘all about the boys’

Petaluma will honor the boys of Petaluma National with a parade at 1 p.m. Sunday that’s “all about the boys,” said Marie McCusker of the Petaluma Downtown Association. The parade starts at Walnut Park and follows the traditional Butter & Egg Days route: Fourth Street into Kentucky, then right on Washington Street, returning to the park on Petaluma Boulevard.
